Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a community of 100+ curious people reading these newsletters.
Before going to the newsletter, I want to thank you all for reading my newsletters every week. This is my 70’th newsletter and I wouldn’t have reached here because of you. THANK YOU
In this newsletter, I’ll share 3 incidents that helped me where I am today and what I have learnt from them.
Incident 1: Change of schools
I have changed 6 schools in my life across 3 different cities. In every school, I had to introduce myself to new classmates, there was no other choice. That taught me how to talk to strangers and ask for help. It wasn’t easy at the start, but over the years, I got used to changing places.
Incident 2: Corona Pandemic
The lockdown was great for me. I got to explore myself. Nothing happened in school. I was in the lucky batch of 10th whose board exams were cancelled. So I had a lot of time to myself. I re-started reading books after a long time, I saw Mahabharata for the first time, connected with a lot of people on Twitter, started content creation, learnt a lot of new things, etc. I am sorry who had to go through a difficult time, but it was good for my personal growth.
Incident 3: Failing in school
I was a very high scorer till my 6th grade. I always got above 90% marks. But after 6’th, I started getting less marks. I started failing some important exams but managed to pass the final exam.
If I would have scored good marks before 10th, I would have taken science and would have gone to engineering or MBBS. Then I would have never got time to explore new things. It was great that I failed and I took up Humanities, an easier subject and I had time to explore new things. I don’t hate both streams, but I am grateful that I am here.
