Hi, I'm Pranav
I work at Hive School, which is India’s First Sales School. I also create content on my YouTube where I share my processes and learnings.
Every Friday, in this newsletter, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations.
Today marks the 150th edition of The Diary of An Inquisitive Kid newsletter.
When I started writing newsletters, I just wanted to document whatever I was building, such as projects, content, and Notion templates, and share what I learned every day.
I can’t believe I’ve been writing it for over three years and have learned a lot in the process.
Here are 5 reasons why everyone should start writing online. This does not necessarily involve newsletters, but it can be on other platforms like Medium, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Easiest to start creating
In writing, you don't need any heavy editing. You can write and publish and use tools to get help with structure and grammar.Low-risk platform to test ideas
Whether you are building a product, making a long video, or writing a book, you can use public platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn to share the idea there and start building in public to get the idea validated and improve on it.Learning in public builds credibility
Documenting your work on the internet helps you build credibility as you show each and every step on the internet and that creates trust. See the founders of big companies and the way they document or share about their startups that helps both the brand of the startup and the founder grow together.Makes you knowledgeable
You store a lot of ideas and research a lot in the journey. This will help you learn a lot as when you research a topic, various loops open up for new topics that you can research about.Document your intellectual journey
After 3 years of writing 150 newsletters, when I read my old newsletters, I realized how kiddish my thinking process was at the start. But, over time I realize I have evolved a lot in the way I think and how I do work.
If you are already writing something, do share that with me by replying to this mail or in the comments below. Would love it read it.
If you want to start writing online, here’s a resource guide I made, where I have shared resources, articles, and a curated list of how you can get started with writing and grow: Get it here
It’s a Notion Doc that you can duplicate and keep for a lifetime.
LAST WORD
How are you doing?
I love hearing from readers, and I’m always looking for feedback. Is there anything you’d like to see more of or less of? Which aspects of the newsletter do you enjoy the most?
Hit reply and say hello- I’d love to hear from you!
Cheers,
Pranav
