Adaptability: Single most powerful trait in life | #144
"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth"
Hi, I'm Pranav
I work at Hive School, which is India’s First Sales School. I also create content on my YouTube where I share my processes and learnings.
Every Friday, in this newsletter, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations.
I am publishing this post after 2 weeks. A lot has been going on with me and Hive School in the last 2 weeks. But I am back at writing, and will be consistent at it now 💪
I read about the change in Sahil Bloom’s newsletter. He mentioned a quote by Mike Tyson: "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
We have a lot of plans and many times, life plans are something else.
I changed 6 schools in a couple of cities. Every time I changed schools, it was a drastic change. Every time I went to a new school, I had to make new friends, learn about the new environment as fast as possible, adapt there, see the new culture, etc. This was the case for every school I went to.
It was full of changes and surprises. But learned a lot about adapting to new places, changing, leaving my comfort zone, meeting new people, etc. It was not an easy change, but full of learning.
At Hive School, since it’s a startup, a lot of things don’t go as planned and initially a lot of sudden things happened. We all had to suddenly change what we had initially planned. Whether it was any event or any meetup, we adapted to the situation and did it.
This happens during the content shoot as well. We plan 80 to 90% of the shoot, but we will wait until the shoot day, as we might need to change a few things according to the situation or the availability of the people.
So, change is constant. We need to adapt to it.
Updates!
Hive School has been going great. Cohort 2 is going on. I am focusing on learning new things and making quality content.
I am now focusing more on content on my YouTube and newsletter. So more content coming there too. Stay tuned.
And the great thing, on 5th November, I’ll be completing 3 years of writing this newsletter. It has been a great journey!
