The person you picked has something. That ‘something' is high agency.
This question is from George Mark’s essay High Agency.
It’s a great essay, and I recommend that everyone read it. Here are some qualities by which you can spot High Agency People:
Bias towards action: People who don’t need permission to take action. They will start working even if they don’t have full knowledge or enough resources, they take the action.
Self-taught learning mentality: They don’t wait for someone to teach them. It’s searching on Perplexity or Grok, ‘Give me a road map to learn this skill’.
Being resourceful: Focus on the content’s quality, not on its engagement. Also, can spot upcoming trends early.
Rebellious Spirit: They question default authority and have an aversion to being told no.
You can never guess their opinion: A writer who draws, a painter who reads history, etc.
To this about this: Are you the type of person that you would call if you were stuck in a foreign prison? How will you become a HIGH AGENCY person?
