Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a community of 100+ curious people reading these newsletters.
Corona pandemic Lockdown was hard for everyone. We had a hard time figuring out a lot of new things.
During the lockdown, I was at home and doing my 10th studies. Since everyone was new to the sudden and new technology in school, I had a lot of time to explore.
So, in this newsletter, I’ll share what I did in the lockdown, that helped me grow and how I optimised the lockdown:
Twitter
Once the lockdown started, I became active on Twitter. I got to learn a lot about the platform. I got to know about many great writers like Abhishek Ponia, Aadit Seth, Ankur Warikoo, Riten Debnath, etc. Threads were a great source of learning. There’s a lot to learn from Twitter.
Connecting with people
I also met a lot of people on the internet. I met people from different domains and made a lot of friends. I can say, I found my tribe on Twitter.
It was a great experience. If I find someone’s work or profile interesting, I DMed them and asked them questions about their field. I was very curious about their work and that curiosity helped me make friends
Austin Kleon says, you cannot choose your family, but you can choose your friends and people to learn from. So choose your friends wisely
Learnt a lot
During the lockdown, I had a lot of time to explore new things. I saw the Mahabharata, read a lot about different fields on the Internet and books, etc. Since I was not studying at school, I spent most of my time learning the topics I liked.
It was the best time ever. I got to explore new fields and learn a lot.
Started content creation
I started my YouTube channel on 25th April 2021 and my Newsletter on 5th November 2021. Those were the best decisions of my life. I have learnt a lot by making content. I learnt how YouTube works, how to shoot videos, edit videos, write, scripting, etc and I have enjoyed making content. It has helped people grow in their lives and grow my knowledge. Research is the key to creating content, so it helped me grow my knowledge.
You can watch my first here and read my first newsletter here. You’ll know why I started both of them.
