Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share processes, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a group of 100+ curious people reading these newsletters.
It was 2020 and I was free from studies, exposed to the internet 24/7. I felt like this was an opportunity to use this time for something productive and worthwhile. My initial thought was to be more active on Twitter and learn about the people and conversations on the platform.
At first, I was hesitant to reach out to people but soon I started DMing them and it was such a rewarding experience. I connected with many people in the industry, made friends and learned so much. I found Twitter to be the best platform for networking and learning.
However, Twitter is often misjudged as a bad and political platform. But, if you curate the people you follow, the feed will be a reflection of your interests and the conversations you are interested in. It's a great way to engage in discussions with people in the field you are interested in.
One way of doing this is to DM people asking questions about their field. Alternatively, you can reply to their tweets and add your point of view. It's also a great way to start a conversation. Don't be afraid to take the initiative and reach out to people, it's the best way to learn and grow. Plus, you will be surprised by how many people will be willing to engage in conversations with you.
The conversations I had through DMs and replies to tweets have taught me so much and helped me understand the industry better. It's also great for networking and creating long-term relationships with people. So, don't hesitate to reach out and engage in conversations, it's the best way to learn and grow!
