I watched a WTF podcast by Nikhil Kamat, where Kishore, Raj, and Ananth talk about what goes into building a fashion, beauty, or home brand. In the podcast Raj Shamani talks about how his startup ‘House of X’ raised 3x of the amount from a VC called Lightspeed and here are 3 key points he shared that you can use.

He did a test pitch in front of other founders
He did a practice pitch in front of 10-15 founders and had them craft his pitch so that it was perfect on the main day.
He told them to act as devil's advocate and prove what he said wrong to improve him.
Growth of Creator or Influencer brands
Influencer-led brands are growing in the US, Korea, and China and there’s a huge potential in India as well. So the investors believed in the idea.
People believed him
People believed in him because of his experience and the people he was building with.
All the work he did in the past, built his credibility. As he started the business at 16, built a good detergent brand, and later content.
That’s why, if you are working on something, how you scale it, and how people recommend you, everything matters a lot.
