"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy”
I discovered Jane Marczewski or Nightbirde through America’s Got Talent’s YouTube video where she sang her original song ‘It’s Okay.
Her story inspired me a lot. She wrote her first Lyrics at the age of 6 and then later she started performing in the church. She first recorded her original music in 2012, a three-song acoustic EP called Lines. The next year, she released Ocean & Sky.
In 2015, she took a sabbatical from writing and performing. Two years later, she was preparing to release new music under the pop moniker “Nightbirde.” But life took a dramatic turn as she was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer.
She performed again in 2018 and 2019. She got a lot of apparitions for her work.
The glory moment didn’t last for long. Months later, she was diagnosed again, but this time, given a 3-6 month life expectancy, and a 2% chance of survival.
She didn’t want to stop recording songs.
“When I was in the thick of illness, I swore to myself that I would write the songs that people need to get through those times, and that’s what I’ll do.” -Jane
You can read about her here
She inspired everyone to be happy in difficult times, for her it was cancer. I know It’s hard. But at least we can try.
