Lessons from the Brightest Minds: A Week at College | #89
“Go with the intention of learning, not teaching”
Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a community of 100+ curious people reading these newsletters.
This week was mainly about spending quality time with my batchmates and seniors at my college. My college is a great place to learn new things every day. For instance, some of the great minds that I met there are building side projects and startups on topics like education, social media, environment, etc. We always talk and share our learnings.
Talking to them, I learnt an important lesson: you have to be the dumbest person in your group. This means you have to surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and can challenge you to grow. We often tend to teach others and give advice, but when we surround ourselves with the smartest people, we get to learn more from them.
I always try to surround myself with people who know more than me learn from them and ask for feedback on what I am doing.
“Go with the intention of learning, not teaching.”
