Hi, I'm Pranav
I work at Hive School, which is India’s First Sales School. I also create content on my YouTube where I share my processes and learnings.
Every Friday, in this newsletter, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations.
Quotes are reminders and not a source of motivation. I read this somewhere, if I find the source, I’ll share it across.
There are many quotes I follow, but here are 3 of my favorite quotes and I follow them regularly.
“If you don’t ask, the answer is always no” - Ankur Warikoo
Many times, we hesitate to ask sometime. We assume that the other person will say no. Whether you are asking for some help or a cup of chai, or anything, we don’t ask. But if you ask, the worst the other person can say is no. But a possibility is it can be yes. Shamelessly ask for it.
This is from Kevil Kelly. Share by Vikra Vardhan. The 4th point is great. It’s about asking questions.
“Do Epic Shit” In this, DO means ‘taking actions. EPIC means a ‘cause bigger than oneself. And SHIT means ‘having fun while doing it.
Taking action is necessary.
“The pro is the amateur who simply showed up every day.” - Ankur Warikoo
Austin Kleon in his book ‘Show Your Work,’ says that being a genius or pro is not able to teach a beginner because he doesn’t understand the beginner’s mind. But an amateur understands the beginner’s mind. So always be an amateur who always learns and teaches others. Also, we should be able to show up every day to learn or make content or anything.
If you want to read a summary of the book ‘Show Your Work,’ Ali Abdaal has written a summary of the book in his blog. You can read it here
