Hi, I'm Pranav
I work at Hive School, which is India’s First Sales School. I also create content on my YouTube where I share my processes and learnings.
Every Friday, in this newsletter, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations.
Austin Kleon’s book Show Your Work changed my life. The way it tells how we can show our work on the internet, helped me a lot in my process and gave me a lot of opportunities. It’s a must-read for those who want to build anything.
Whenever I build anything, I always share the process of building it, whatever I learned from doing that project, etc. I share almost all the details.
If you are showing your work on the internet, people get to see your process and it builds up credibility. It helps you to take feedback from others at a certain point as you are posting about it on social media.
I’ll share my example. I have been using Notion for 3+ years. I use it to manage my personal life, manage content, build some mini websites, etc. I manage all my life off Notion.
Last year, I also worked with Vensy Krishna, who is the Notion Ambassador of India. I worked with her on her YouTube channel. I was making videos on YouTube and had a fair knowledge of social media. This knowledge helped me work with Vensy in her startup.
After ending that internship, I continued working on Notion and helping people with it.
Then I got referred to do a Notion 101 session for MarkitUp. Then I hosted a session for them on Notion. I was so happy that I could teach a bunch of folks who are a part of a big community and and help them
.
Then, this helped me get the credibility to do another Notion session for Masters’ Union’s Undergrad batch
.
After seeing all this work, on Monday, I took a session for 30 Days of No Code. More than 200 people joined the live session I took. In the live session, I taught them to build a mini website on Notion, and on the second day, they built their Second Brain on Notion. The way people responded to this Notion session made me surprised. They were so eager to learn it and most of them were building in public very well.
If you are building anything, show it to everyone and it will help you get a lot of opportunities.
LAST WORD
How are you doing?
I love hearing from readers, and I’m always looking for feedback. Is there anything you’d like to see more of or less of? Which aspects of the newsletter do you enjoy the most?
Hit reply and say hello- I’d love to hear from you!
Cheers,
Pranav
