Hi, I'm Pranav
I create content on YouTube where I share my processes and learnings.
Every Friday, in this newsletter, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations.
Austin Kleon wrote about a point in his book Steal Link An Artist about ‘climb your family tree’. He says you don’t get to pick your actual genealogy, but you can establish your own artistic genealogy.
This means that you cannot choose your family tree but can build your own artistic genealogy, draw inspiration, and learn.
How do I leverage this?
I use this concept to learn new things. For example, this is Paras Chopra’s website where there are all of his writings. He has written everything about his thoughts, technology, science, artificial consciousness, startups, entrepreneurial journey, etc.
You go to his Twitter Threads > any topic (for eg economy) > Can an economy keep on growing? > Read the thread and each resource, and research about every key point that is interesting/you don’t know.
Dig deeper into each point of whatever you are consuming. Each new blog/video you are consuming, it’ll have a new loop to open. Sounds tiring and boring, but opens new doors of learning.
These are some of the people’s notes I am digging into these days:
