Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a community of 160+ curious people reading these newsletters.
Twitter has been a great platform I have been using for the past 3-4 years. I got a lot of opportunities through Twitter. For OGs, it will always be Twitter, not X.
Twitter is not political or like any other platform. It’s a hub of great people and knowledge. In this newsletter, I’ll tell you how Twitter helped me in my journey and why you should be on Twitter.
In 2020, when I was not enjoying my classes, I was randomly scrolling through Twitter and I saw a person writing her newsletter. I read some of her newsletters and just out of curiosity, I DMed her and in a few days, we got on call. I got a few insights from that call.
After a few days of spending some time on Twitter, I realized, there's a gold mine of people and knowledge.
Twitter is the best place to build in public. If you have an idea you are working on or planning to start, by just sharing your progress and learning on Twitter, you will get a lot of feedback from people and grow your audience for that idea. You will also get early customers through the building in public. It also builds trust as you are sharing your wins, learnings, losses, etc. A few weeks ago, I wrote a newsletter on what is built in public. You can read it here.
Here are a few people you can take inspiration from who are building in Public:
Roohi K: Building her podcast ‘Business Podcast by Roohi’
Riten Debnath: Building Fueler, a Github for Generalist
Harsh Mishra: Thumbnail Designer building Content Brand "TheHarshWise"
Community is also a big part of Twitter. I found my tribe on it. I got connected to various project builders, startup founders, content creators, writers, etc. I learned a lot from them and we made good friendships. I also joined various communities like Fueler, 10K (Open Community), vidyo .ai, BuildSpace (Open Community), etc. I got to connect to even more people in the communities. The community is also supporting. If you want to build any community, Twitter can be a great place. It can be for startups, design, no code, etc.
What I used to do, whenever I found someone who was doing something interesting, I used to DM them and get connected with them. This worked mostly for those who had a small account, this way it increased the probability of getting replies. If you want to DM them, here’s a format you can use

There is great knowledge on the platform too. It is said that you are the average of the people you surround with and the things you consume. If you follow the right people, they write great on Twitter. You will get a lot of knowledge about it. I'll share some recommendations of people you can follow so that you can start your Twitter Journey.
Lastly, I have done internships in startups like Thousand Faces Club, Build Academy, and Fueler and helped in a project for The Educational Alliance. All this work, I have got just because of Twitter. I was active on Twitter and was building up my portfolio. This is the best thing about the platform. You get a lot of opportunities from this platform.
