Proof of Work has played a major part in my life. Building projects has given me multiple opportunities.
It started when I met
in 2022 when I was introduced to Fueler and proof of work.It started with creating videos and thumbnails for YouTube. Then, I started showing my projects around Notion, like websites and resource guides. Since then, I have had projects around design, No Code, Video Editing, and Content Marketing Plans.
Creating projects has helped me a lot in my journey:
Since I was creating YouTube Videos and newsletters, I learned a lot about social media in general. I was consistently making videos and writing newsletters. After documenting all my content, I got internships at Build Academy and Fueler because I was documenting all my projects on my content online.
In January 2023, I cold-emailed Dr. Siddharth Warrier, a neurologist and content creator with over 500K followers, inviting him to a podcast. After a week of doing that podcast, Thousand Faces Club opened a position for a Community Outreach Intern, which intern had to reach out to creators inviting them for podcasts and masterclasses. I applied for the role with my proof of work, and just because of the podcast I did with Dr. Sid Warrier and the email I wrote to him, I got my first internship with them.
I have been making Notion Templates, and resources and also making content around Notion. Also started talking about Notion a lot in the Fueler Community. This is how I got to do sessions on Notion Basics for the MarkitUp Community (Co-Founder, Ishan Sharma) and Masters’ Union. This also led to me being a Notion Mentor at Era of No Code.
Building projects and proof of work changed my life.
