Hi, I'm Pranav
Every Friday, I share my process, thoughts, stories, ideas, and weekly recommendations. We're a community of 140+ curious people reading these newsletters.
On Tuesday, 10th October, I completed 2 years in Delhi. It has been an amazing time here. I learnt a lot here, met a lot of people, ate authentic North Indian food, etc. In this newsletter, I’ll talk about how my past year has been, what I learnt, etc. I wrote a similar newsletter last year for completing one year, if you want to read that newsletter, you can read it here.
1. Met a lot of people
Earlier this year, I got to meet some of my idols and learn from them. I met Ankur Warikoo in his book session, I attended ‘The Delhi Mix’ by The Indian Startup Community and Indian Silicon Valley and I met some of the great founders and Investors in the event, I also attended a Branding Session by Schabang in Masters’ Union and I met some of the good people here. I got to learn a lot from these people.
I also got to meet my favourite content creators like Venky Krishna, Chalchitra Talks team, Divya.
2. Travelling teaches you a lot
I travelled alone in Delhi to attend the meet-ups. It was a great experience seeing new places in Delhi, talking to strangers in the city and eating amazing street food.
Every time I meet a stranger or a cab driver, I always ask them questions about them, the place they are from, why they are in Delhi, good places to visit, etc. I get to learn a lot about their culture. Also, this way, I get a new recommendation for a new place to visit.
I also travelled to the Mountains in Himachal Pradesh. It was a great place in the greenery. I love greenery and specially mountians. It is very peaceful. I went to some of the remote places in the state that I had never heard of. It was a great trip. I recommend going to Himachal Pradesh, it’s not that far from Delhi.
3. Coming to college
It’s been 2 months in Masters’ Union and it’s going great. I am learning a lot here and it’s my 1’st time experience living without my parents. Living in the hostel has taught me a lot in the last 2 months. I realised the importance of greenery. I have lived in greenery in my life and I loved it. But after coming to Gurgaon, I have a huge respect where there is more greenery. Also, I have a huge respect for home-cooked food (people who live in the hostel will understand).
But living out of comfort zone is important. It teaches you a lot.
These are some of the learnings from living in Delhi. Read more updates in the upcoming newsletters.
