Every Friday, I share my process, my thoughts and some recommendations for good videos, podcasts, songs or anything interesting things I have consumed over the week.
On the 10’th I completed 1 year in Delhi. For those who don’t know, I shifted to Delhi from Pune last year. The last year has been very interesting. I did a lot of things, learnt a lot and it was full of new experiences.
Delhi is an amazing place. Before coming here, I was a bit nervous. I had once lived out of Maharashtra, this was the second time, I was happy that I’ll get to explore a new city and sad that I would have left my favourite place.
Here are 5 things I did and learnt after coming to Delhi:
#1 Leave your comfort zone
Pune was a comfortable place for me. I have lived most of my life in Pune. Somewhere in my mind, I was resistant to coming to Delhi as it meant leaving my comfort zone. I knew that the change will be beneficial and with a lot of experience, but I was a bit afraid.
But coming to Delhi changes my life. I was out of my comfort zone, in a new world learning new things.
So if you are stuck in your comfort zone and are unwilling to experience new things, you won’t grow.
#2 Travel teaches you a lot
I love travelling. It’s opposite to the last point, but I love visiting new places. I have travelled alone in Delhi, to meet my friends, meetups, eat street food etc. I have gone to see the Lotus Temple, National Museum, Red Fort, Delhi Markets, Connaught Place and many more places. Delhi has a lot of places to travel and also places around Delhi.
I am a very curious person. I see every place eagerly. I am the slowest person in the museum, as I see every artefact carefully.
#3 I learnt a lot by meeting people
Since Delhi was opening up after the lockdown, I decided to see this opportunity to meet people offline and learn from them.
When Varun Duggirala was in Delhi for his book’s launch, I went to attend the session. I learnt a lot from him and was pleased to meet him.
I also went for the Josh Talks meetup in their Headquarters in Gurgaon when they were launching their Josh Marathon. I met a lot of people, spoke about the educational system, and also had the pleasure to meet Supriya Paul, the co-founder of Josh talks we spoke about content creation, the growth of the organization and other things. Here is the newsletter I wrote about the experience. Read here
When Your Story organised an event called ‘Brand Residency’, I attended and I met people like Ayush Wadhwa, Vaibhav Sisinty, Ansh Mehra, Manish Pandey, Anubhav Dubey and many more people. Since I am a curious person, I had lots of questions for all of them.
It doesn’t matter which city you are in. It matters your will that you want to learn from other people who are experts in their fields. Be active on Twitter, DM people on Twitter, be active on Twitter and make connections. Twitter is the best platform to learn peoples’ minds and the best part is you can also talk to them. I wrote a newsletter about why Twitter is the best platform. Read here
Today’s Sponsor 🎉
As I am a Twitter fan, I connected with a lot of people. One of them was Riten, the co-founder of Fueler. He has made a tool where you can create an aesthetic professional-looking portfolio for FREE. It is a proof-of-work tool.
Today companies mostly don’t from where you graduated, they want proof of work. Using Fueler you can create customized portfolios for various career needs like a full-time, part-time, internship, or freelancing.

#4 Love challenges. Life is always unscripted
Before coming to Delhi, we had inquired about the city. about the people, climate, food, tourism, etc. But what I didn’t expect was the weather. Delhi’s weather is the extreme opposite. In summer, the temperature reaches 47-48 °C and the temperature goes down to 2-3 °C. Also, there is very less rain here. The pollution and the dry weather make it worse.
But yeah, except for the weather, I loved Delhi.
#5 I started writing newsletters
This is by far the best decision I have taken. I learnt a lot after writing 43 newsletters and I a still learning.
